No Murmuring Or Complaining--Philippians 2:14

A Testimony of God's Goodness wherever we are! My husband James and I went to an Italian Restaurant on Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were seated right away but it took longer than usual to get our food. It wasn't busy and we only ordered soup and salad which is already prepared. After about 25 minutes He said, "Boy, they sure are taking a long time to bring our soup." I said, “I'm sure they'll bring it out soon, let’s just enjoy our salad and time together so we continued talking about how GOOD THE LORD HAD BEEN TO US over the past week.” Well the waitress finally brought our soup out to us and we both looked up at each other at the same time noticing that it was mostly broth and hardly any meat or potatoes. My Husband said, this is not right--the next time the waitress comes I'm going to ask her to take these bowls back and bring us two fresh bowls with less broth and more meat and potatoes. I said, "She looks like a sweet girl, if we send it back, I'm sure she'll be embarrassed and possibly feel like it's her fault. So let's DO what the WORD OF GOD says and NOT COMPLAIN. We'll just eat what we've been served, after all it doesn't taste bad and we can get more. " He said, "You’re right we should be grateful, after all it is lunchtime and you usually get smaller portions anyways. "

We finished our soup and the waitress came back around and asked us if we wanted another serving, we said yes, and didn't mention anything. This time within a few minutes we were served again and you won't believe it but THE SOUP BOWLS WERE FULL TO THE BRIM with EXTRA meat and potatoes and very little broth--it looked like thick stew! We said to the waitress, these bowls don't look like the first bowls you brought us. She smiled and said, " Yes I know the cook SERVED you the FIRST 2 bowls from a fresh pot that he just made! We thanked her, looked at each other, shook our heads and laughed! I said, "You see we didn't have to COMPLAIN or DEMAND OUR WAY or possibly embarrass the waitress by sending our food back. " "Do all things without murmurings and disputings. " Philippians 2:14

The Lord heard our conversation and because of our Obedience to His Word--He made sure we were Served First and Given His Best! Jesus is with us from the time we get up to the time we go to bed. Whatever circumstances we face in a day, good or bad, big or small, He Always Answers (in His time not ours) and gets us through! He sees all and takes care of us. We are so grateful to know that the Lord Jesus watches over us and our children. James and I love the Lord with all our hearts and Thank Him For Answering Our Smallest Requests! I can't imagine going through life without knowing Jesus. Forever Faithful To Jesus, Debra Arredondo Crisp
