Years ago, as were finishing up our ministry training, we knew that our season was ending and new marching orders were coming. At this time we were very busy with the work of the ministry, speaking engagements, and traveling to set up mini schools of prayer.
In the midst of a very fruitful time in our prayer ministry, we received a call from a local church stating that the Lord had spoken to them to send us to Mexico to the mission field. They had been instructed by the Holy Spirit to take care of the expenses for our trip. We had never been there before. Now, all during this time, we knew that a move was coming, and we were going to be moving, but it had never occurred to us that our appointment would be the mission field. Yet, we obeyed and launched out to Mexico. Wow, what a different spiritual atmosphere and ministry compared to what we were used to in America!
We were there for just a short stay and came back to the States to seek the Lord. By now, our Spiritual experiences had taught us that no matter how much we didn’t want to go God’s way, it’s much better to be in a place that our flesh does not like (with God’s blessing and presence with us) than to be in a place that pleases our flesh (without God’s presence and blessing).
We needed direction and an Answer to our Prayer. What should we do? Then one day while on our knees and many tears, we said to the Lord, “If Mexico is where you want us to go, make our hearts willing to be willing! Lord, we know that without your presence and blessing on our lives, we have no life, no matter where we go.”
The Holy Spirit immediately said, “YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR TEST, the Father wanted you to be willing, and now that you’re willing, He is sending you elsewhere, that elsewhere turned out to be Ohio a total but pleasant surprise. To God Be The Glory!
Keep this one thought in mind. It is so important to hear the voice of God and obey so we can be in his perfect will. This will bring us into a place of Greater Blessings, Peace and Prosperity. There is a Supernatural Blessing from Heaven poured out upon us from above when we are in the Will of God. As we obey His voice, and go where He is pointing us to go --We Will Be Blessed! “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19
