His Loving Kindness

Many of you have heard our testimony and know that my husband’s heart was not always turned to the Lord. For years, even after he received salvation, it was evident that he was only partially committed in serving the Lord. Many times I watched my husband wrestle with spirits that kept him in bondage and sometimes captive to sin. Yes, it would have been easier to have left him, but my Father would continue to remind me of the vow I had made, “For Better Or Worse, Till Death Do Us Part.” He would also remind me that He Never Divorced Me, but continued to Love Me In Spite Of My Sin until I Fully Surrendered to Him. Therefore, I was encouraged to continue to intercede for my husband Jose, determined in my heart to see a Total Deliverance in his life, which finally came in time. As time went by, I could also see the dealings of God that said to him, I want more from you than just being my child. I Want You For "MY" Service.
In the early 80’s, God would speak to Brother Jose to lay down his welding career of twenty-two years. A career that was rough, required hard work, and long hours in the heat, but made him a Good Family Provider. Later, God would lead him to a completely new profession, carpentry. He continued to make a weekly paycheck. About a year later his unemployment terminated, and the Lord would put him into his own carpentry business. Some weeks there was a paycheck, and some weeks we didn’t receive anything at all. Some months we had money, and some months we didn’t. We would learn to Totally Trust God For Our Finances. I had seen Brother Jose cry many times, as he asked God, “How can I support my family without steady work? I don’t have the faith like Smith Wigglesworth, or Rees Howell. God, help my unbelief so that I can have that kind of faith to believe you for all things- including finances.” It was rough watching my husband, who was used to making money by the sweat of the brow, now in this tremendous school of faith. His desperation was my anguish many times. After moving to Ohio the Lord would shut all doors to the carpentry trade. What would he do now? Things got pretty rough financially for us. Jose would be forced to go to work in a factory for seven weeks. He felt trapped, unable to pray and do the Lord’s work, so we both cried “Lord, did we go through the wilderness and schooling these past seven years, giving all for the Gospel sake, and move back to Ohio to have Jose laboring in factory work—a life consumed in making a weekly paycheck?
GOD’S DELAYS ARE NOT HIS DENIALS.
Several years back, in visiting our hometown, Jose had verbalized that if God would ever see fit to move us back home, his desire was to have a Christian Bookstore. Sometime later, after beginning his work at the factory, God would raise up an obedient, merciful individual who felt that Jose’s ministry, was much more valuable at United Intercessors than working in a factory. This person asked Jose, without knowing much about his Bookstore Dream, “Would you like to have a bookstore? “He said, “Yes, but I don’t have any money.” To make a long story short, Jose became the Proud New Owner of his very own Christian Bookstore. The building was purchased for him, and he became a Happy and Fulfilled Servant of the Lord. Thank you for giving my husband his Hearts Desire and Answering Our Prayer, To God Be The Glory!
