A few years back when my husband Jose worked with the court system and helped many people because of the favor of the Lord. One day a man with 5 children had not paid his fines for some traffic tickets. The story of his "wrong" went back quite a few years and when he was stopped for a traffic violation, his fines caught up with him. Immediately, he was hauled off to jail. We knew this man and his five children. At that time, He was a single parent with no mother to watch over those children. He was working to support his family and doing his best to give those children a home and all the love he could muster up as a single parent.
He called us from jail on a Friday afternoon for help. Usually judges go home early on Friday, but that day, the young man was desperate! He was truly sorry and needed God's help. I was impressed to tell Jose that the Holy Spirit was tugging at my heart and He wanted that man out of jail. He also wanted us to do something for him. So, off we went to the municipal court to see what could be done to get him out. It was a quiet Friday afternoon at the court house as Jose walked down the hall, but the door to the judges office was still open. Jose called out H-e-l-l-o, as he peered through the OPEN DOOR. Well, guess who comes walking out of the back room--none other than the judge himself. And he said, "Jose, what brings you here?" He said, "Judge, I need a miracle, not for myself but for a young man who is the father of five children who is in your jail right now." Jose explained the situation; the judge listened intently, then personally walked over to the Clerk of Courts, picked up the phone, made a call, and faxed some papers to the jail. To make a long story short, all I can tell you is that the righteous Judge of Heaven prevailed--that young father was sitting in the back seat of our car headed back to his children at 7 p.m. that Friday evening.
This was a "Miracle of Answered Prayer-the sweet aroma of incense "beaten small" had reached heaven. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep that judge of the earthly court systems wherever he is today! For over 20 years we have prayed for all those in authority and at that time we were praying for all the authorities of our area everyday by name, including the judges. I believe that favor came to us because of the prayers we prayed for our city and area officials. To the Mighty God of Heaven Be the Glory!
