For years, I have done the Lord’s work in the ministry by faith. Faith works above the natural realm. What does this mean? It means that you don’t go by what you see, but by what you believe, according to God’s Word. The time for the ministry’s newsletter had rolled around. In this season of training to walk by faith, the Lord would instruct me to believe “in steps” of faith. So, usually when I sat down to write my articles for the newsletter, I didn’t have the finances for the printing or postage, but I had "Faith" that by the time I finished writing, that the money would come in to have the newsletter printed.
This was one of those times that the money came in for printing. I had picked up the newsletters at the printers; the girls at the office and I had sorted them for bulk mailing. I lined up the bags of mail neatly by the door. I looked at my secretary and said, “I don’t have the money for the postage, so therefore, Lord, this is as far as I can go. You will have to provide for the rest.” We needed about $400.00 for the postage and some pressing bills that needed to be paid that day!
Late that morning, this one precious sister to whom I ministered on occasion on the prayer line, stopped in to see me. I invited her in and she began to share with me that she had made a trip to town that morning and on her way back home she had made a wrong turn. As she continued to drive, hoping to be able to get on the right road, she realized she was passing in front of the United Intercessors building. She had never been there before and decided to stop and say hello.
After talking for a few minutes, and exchanging some of the good things that our God had done for both of us, I noticed that she took her purse in her hands and pulled something out. I continued to talk. Then, she said, “You know, we are in-between churches, but I have set my tithes aside each month and have kept them. I asked Jesus what to do with them, and He said that He would let me know where to put them. We are still looking for a church, but the Lord spoke to me just now, and said I’m to put them into this ministry.” My heart immediately welled up with gratefulness and my eyes filled with tears. I was speechless. As she handed me the four checks, the Lord further said to me, “You see, I knew about your need four months ago and made preparation for it.”
The checks totaled about $400.00 Praise God, there was enough money to take care of the postage and some other needs for the day. He is our provider and when we look to Him, He will never let us down! Father in Jesus name, continue to reveal your love for us an increase our "Faith" that we may walk in a rest…Amen…” To God Be The Glory!
