Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew7:7-8.
When we are in need and can't find an answer to our situation, then, there is one sure thing to do and that is to ask, seek, and knock through prayer. The Lord will hear our prayer and because He is faithful, He will answer and lead us in the right direction to help us in our time of need. A young couple with a growing family of small children had out-grown their present dwelling place. There was no more room in that home for another child, yet another one was on the way! Income was limited. Praying friends were notified of the need and they all began to pray. One day as one of the friends was praying for their need she had a "vision" from heaven of a little house in the community. Being familiar with the area, she immediately called the rental agency that was listing the house. To her disappointment she was informed that the house was rented.
Several weeks went by and everyone continued to pray for the "perfect dwelling place" for this couple. By now the "expectant" mother was growing with disappointment and losing hope of finding an affordable home. One day, she sat down and just wept and said, "Lord Jesus, if this is all you have for me, then help me to be satisfied and help me to make do." That same day, after her hour of surrender, the phone rang at the home of a praying friend (the same friend who had received the vision from heaven). It was the rental agency! The people in the house had just called to inform the agency they had bought a new home. The little rent house (in the perfect spot) would be available in a few weeks. The agency wanted to know if the young couple was still interested. Delays are never denials and our Jesus Never Fails! Because we ask, seek and knock it shall be opened. To God Be The Glory!
