Every week the
children of one family in our congregation are put on the Wall of Prayer and receive special
coverage. “Praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…” Ephesians 6:18.
Recently there was a
shooting that took place at one of the larger department stores in our city. “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy,
the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to
devour.” 1 Peter 5:8. The
Children/Grandchildren of one of the families was working there that evening
and were the ones we happen to be lifting up in prayer that week.
The GOOD NEWS is that this week, one of the
children being covered with prayer was working late that evening when a
drive-by shooter shot and injured someone at her workplace--SHE WAS SPARED! “The Lord is my light and my
salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my
fortress, protecting me from danger…” Psalm 27:1
Our merciful Lord
heard our prayers, To God Be The Glory!
