An example of the Ministries Prayer in Action occurred on one of the hottest days of the summer. A ministry prayer warrior came home from an outing with her children. Little did she know that day she would be the one needing prayer.
The prayer warrior’s youngest child, an eighteen month old, was asleep in her van, located about four feet from her front door. She decided to leave him there to sleep, keeping all the doors open for fresh air. Later, she had her oldest daughter check on him only to find all the windows up and doors locked. This was an attack by demonic forces that had “come to kill, steal, and destroy.” John 10:10. To this day no one knows how or why the doors were locked.
As the daughter looked in the van, the baby appeared to be unconscious. Panicked, she ran in the house and screamed to her mother that the baby was in trouble. The mother ran outside and tried to get in, but couldn’t. Finally, she got a wrench and opened the rear hatch, flying over the seats to get to her non-breathing, lifeless baby. She ran to the front of the house, baby in arms and her knees buckling. With a loud shrill she screamed, “He’s dead, he’s dead! She handed her husband their limp and spiritless baby. She then ran as fast as she could to the nearby Divine Connection Prayer Office which at that time was only minutes from where she lived--threw herself on the floor and cried, “My baby is dead; my baby is dead!” The response was immediate. The Prayer Warriors that were in the building Gathered Together and Began a Fervent Appeal to God for the Baby’s Life. The Troops were Activated and Dozens of Prayers were Lifted to Heaven for the seemingly hopeless situation.
By that time the ambulance had arrived and taken their small child to the nearby hospital. While in the ambulance, the paramedics iced the 108 degree little body and tried to revive him. After approximately twenty minutes a nurse informed the parents in the waiting room that there was no response. Even after being iced down the baby’s temperature was still very high. The doctor regretfully told the parents that he was gone, and there was nothing they could do. But where technology failed, the Power of Prayer Succeeded! The Prayer Warriors Continued Interceding for this small child and God Provided A Miracle! “Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.” Psalm 107:19.
Despite the negative report and lack of oxygen to the child’s brain for several minutes, despite the 108 degree temperature, the Baby Awoke after approximately twenty minutes of fruitless treatment! Not only did He Awake, but He Awoke with No Brain Damage or Any Major Repercussions. Today he is Normal and Healthy! Our Heavenly Father and the Prayers of the Saints Made The Difference!
