Dear praying friends I would like to share with you how the Lord met one of our needs. Years ago I was getting ready for a trip where I was asked to speak on the importance of Prayer for our Nation. Having many ministry expenses at that time there were certain personal needs that I had put last on my list. One was an unspoken desire for some new clothes for that trip. My husband Jose got up early one morning and said, “The Lord spoke to me that I’m to take you shopping for clothes. Even though in the natural we didn’t have the extra finances, in obedience and faith to the Lord we put extra gas in the car for the shopping trip.
Later that day I received a card in the mail and it read, “Dear Sister Hilda, enclosed is a check but there is a stipulation that goes with it, it is to be spent on you-- not the ministry, Sorry! Surely you can use some new clothes or perhaps something for your home. I don’t think the Lord would mind if you treated Brother Jose to a hamburger, just kidding!”
Jose’ and I were so touched by God’s Goodness and Mercy that we laughed and cried because He’s never failed us. Jesus knew what we needed and our dear friend heard His voice and obeyed, therefore, we were all blessed! We start out every day with prayer waiting on our Heavenly Father to bring His word to pass. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33.
The Lord has faithfully taken care of me and my family and never failed. Even at times his delays were not denials but rather perfect timings that He used to temper and perfect me in learning His ways. He has supplied all our needs, no matter how big or small, physically, spiritually, mentally and financially--Philippians 4:19.
Over the years there have been many wonderful Answers to our Prayers. Our faith has been tried to stand and believe God for the impossible. He has proven Himself faithful over and over and continues to surprise us daily with His mercy and goodness. To God Be The Glory!
