I would like to share with you the following Testimony of Encouragement and Answered Prayer. Many years ago I was at the ministry going through some things in my desk drawer and came across an old cassette message that I had preached years back. I was puzzled because usually, I put them away in the cassette library when I am done with them. I thought where did that one come from? I slipped it into my coat pocket with the intention to file it away in a few minutes and somehow forgot.
It was late when I got home that night and as I put my hand in my coat pocket I pulled out the same cassette and thought, I forgot to file this again! Suddenly, I felt in my heart that the Lord wanted me to listen to this message before I went to bed. I looked at the clock and it was 10:30 p.m. and I knew I had a busy day ahead of me and felt that I needed my rest. Nevertheless, I obeyed and began to listen to my own message. At the very end of the message was a Prophetic Word I had given to a young man several years back while his mother sat in the congregation listening. The word was that he had Purpose and Plan for this young man’s life, the Lord was going to Use Him and would not let him go until it was accomplished.
The Holy Spirit said, “Call that mother right now and tell her that she needs to listen to this good word about her son.” I said, “Right now Lord,” He said, “Yes, right now!” I looked at the clock and it was almost midnight. I hesitantly picked up the phone to call thinking I’m going to have to wake up the whole household to ask mom to listen to this prophecy. After a few short rings she answered the phone and I began to share all the incidents of the day leading up to the cassette, then I asked her to listen to that word of prophecy over the phone. When I finished I began to talk to her again and she said, “How did you know what happened?” She began to tell me with brokenness in her voice that her son had done something terrible that night that involved the authorities. These parents were good moral Christian people, good upstanding citizens in their community and now they were shocked, disappointed, and heartbroken to say the least that their teenage son would be involved in such behavior! By now she was crying and I said, “Mom, do you hear what the Lord is saying?” He has a Purpose and Plan for your son’s life! Jesus Is Not Going To Let Him Go! It's no accident that at this very moment walking in after an evening of disappointment with the authorities you’ve received my call! It’s God’s Perfect Timing and this is a message from heaven for you. Your son belongs to the Lord and when things look hopeless, He still has a purpose and plan for your child. Your son came with sealed orders and if you and I continue to pray and Dad continues to instruct and reprove your son is going to make it!
Some time had gone by and we had a chance to talk with both parents and we remembered that "Dark Night Of Disappointment" and Praised God Together for his Faithfulness! The Son and Dad had been spending more time together and Dad is guarding him closely. Their son is going to Church and learning all about Jesus, and on his way to becoming a voice for Christ in America. Our God is Faithful and He can turn things around, but we need to continue to speak righteousness to our sons and daughters and insist that they walk uprightly. It’s not a choice, but a must!
Beloved, I say Be Encouraged because as long as there is Salvation, there is Hope for a Righteous Voice in America! I believe there are people who want the truth and desire to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. You may be saying to yourself it’s too late, my child or children are all grown and gone and I’ve made terrible mistakes in their upbringing. I want to say to you it’s NEVER TOO LATE! I was 33 and my husband Jose was 35 years old when Jesus came into our lives and today we are both Preachers of the Gospel. We had sealed orders from heaven and Jesus had a purpose and a plan for us just as the word promises us. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11
