We had a precious sister in the Lord share her Testimony with United Intercessors.
HER TESTIMONY:
Several years ago I was awakened in the wee hours of the morning by a knock on my door. Still half asleep, I got up and slightly opened the door to see who it was. A man stood there, telling me he was lost and asking for directions to get back to another road. I gave him the directions but he said he could not understand, he kept questioning me, and said he didn’t know where he was. I said “Just a minute; I’ll draw you a map” and walked to my bedroom to get paper and pencil. As I did, I got sick to my stomach as I felt the Alarm of the Holy Spirit. I knew I had made a big mistake; I had not even locked the door behind me. As I rushed back to the door, it was too late. Just as I got there, he pushed the door open, knocked me down and pinned me to the floor. Immediately, I grabbed the Best Weapon A Christian Has – JESUS! I started calling His name over and over and pleading the Blood of Jesus. Supernatural Strength infused my body and I was up quicker than I went down. Not understanding what had happened, the man tried to wrestle me down again. As my praying got louder and louder, I began swinging this big macho man--like a rag doll, leaving black scuff marks from his boots all over my floor. My praying woke up one of my daughters. A little aggravated, she said, “Oh Great! Mama’s Praying Again” and covered her head with a pillow, trying to go back to sleep. Meanwhile, the frustrated man started yelling at me and telling me I was crazy as he ran out of the house, murmuring about the Blood of Jesus. Hearing a strange man’s voice startled my daughter. She jumped out of bed and came running. By this time, the man was speeding away in his truck, tires squealing and gravel flying in every direction. Without realizing what I was doing, I was standing outside, preaching and claiming his salvation.
Without Jesus, this incident would of had a very different outcome. This "Victory" was definitely not won by my strength or bravery – because when the reality of what happened hit me, I started shaking like a leaf, my knees buckled under me and I started hyperventilating. Greater Is HE Who Lives In Us Than He Who Is In The World. God comforted me and reassured me of that a few hours later when I attended a United Intercessors Prayer Conference. I put on my name tag and the scripture on the tag was PSALM 118:6! How I "Rejoiced" when I read it. “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” I knew that very scripture from the Word of God had been handpicked by the Lord just for me!
