On Wednesday I had an early ministry appointment at our local 911-Office. I finished with my appointment and as I was walking to my car I passed by an older vehicle with a woman sitting at the wheel in it. I quickly glanced at her and kept walking. Just as I had passed by her car the Lord said, “Go Back! and prophesy to that woman!” In obedience to God I turned around, walked over to her and said, “I know things have been rough for you but it’s going to be a Better Day and also a Good New Year is coming.” I continued to tell her that Jesus loved her and to follow hard after Him. She dropped her head and immediately began to weep.” I could see by her countenance that she was burdened by the weights of this world. I asked her if she needed some gas in her car, she said, “Yes I do.” I quickly went and asked my husband Jose if he had a $20 dollar bill? He said, “No, I don’t.” I then said, “Do you have a $10 dollar bill?” He said, “No, all I have is a $100 bill on me.”
Now I didn’t have any money with me and left my money bag back at the house, but all week I had a $100 bill in my money bag and some change. I had been saving it since Sunday. Every week I have certain ministry obligations that I have to meet. In my mind I was holding on to that money to help meet some of those needs. The Lord said, “That $100 is for her!” I informed Jose that I would give him his money back when we got home. Without any hesitation I walked back over to her car and put it into her hands. I told her, “This isn’t me, it’s totally Jesus and He wants to help you.” She was broken and began to cry as her need was great. “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.” Psalm 41:1
Earlier that day I prayed that the Lord order my steps to reap of His benefits and to be a blessing to someone. The Lord taught me very early in my Christian walk to not worry about tomorrow but to trust in Him to take care of our daily needs. This was a Divine Appointment, His Perfect Plan for such a time as this! Saints of God He is the God of Hope and the rewards are great when we are doing His will. To God Be The Glory!
