“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
One afternoon after checking the mail I opened my phone bill, it was more than usual. I called the phone company and asked why it had gone up? They didn’t have any answers for me even though I hadn’t added or changed my service contract in any way. They were not very helpful and after talking to them for over an hour I had no choice but to pay it if I wanted to keep my phone. You know the “old flesh” wanted to rise up, but I knew the word now and the old me was dead and I was now a born again Christian filled with Holy Spirit, a New Creature in Christ! I knew the Lord would not want me to conduct myself in that way. I needed to be a witness to myself and to the person on the other end of the phone. As I waited to pay the bill, I prayed that whatever the devil stole from us that day he would have to return it back to us, In Jesus Name! At that time in our lives my husband and I were raising three boys. All I could think of was how hard it was to make ends meet as it was. The last thing we needed was to have to pay higher bills. I gave my burden to the Lord and trusted Him to make it right.
About three weeks later we received an unexpected rebate check in the mail from the phone company. I had previously purchased a phone and was not supposed to get it for at least 6-8 weeks. The awesome thing is that we received the check early and it was for the exact amount that the phone company had over charged me. Praise The Lord!
Sometimes when there has been an injustice done to us we feel the need to act right away and help God push the doors open for ourselves.
