A couple years ago my husband received a ticket for running a
red light while driving a company vehicle and had to pay $158.00. He told his
boss that the light was Green NOT Red but it was his word over the camera’s recording
all activity at the intersection. In order to contest the ticket he would have
to lose a days pay to go to court to fight with no guarantee that he would win.
Of coarse the reaction around work was, “That’s not fair, you don’t have to pay
that--go and fight it!” Even though this injustice was done to my husband he
knew that God was in control and He would somehow make this wrong--right.
When he got home he shared with me what had happened. He had been
wrongly accused of something he didn’t do. The enemy had stolen our finances and
the violation would tarnish his perfect driving record. We prayed about it and
decided that it would be better to just pay the ticket and leave it in the
Lord’s hands.
An Answer To Prayer: It’s been 2 years and a couple days ago my husband’s boss called
him and told him to stop by the office before going home. He had a check to
give him in the amount of $158.00. It turns out that the department that
handles traffic tickets did some investigating. Apparently the traffic lights
were not functioning correctly that day therefore he was given a full refund and all
points were removed from his driver’s license record. He was so excited and told his boss, “Isn’t
God Good!”
No matter how bad a situation looks, know that God is there, and
He will deliver those who trust in Him. If God be for you, who can be against
you? He knows how to turn things around for our good. “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
