Lord, Heal Me

It’s hard to believe that summer is over and fall is in the air. Here in Louisiana we are looking forward to cooler days/nights after a long hot summer. Years ago, just around the fall season I was experiencing all the symptoms of a clogged up artery and I knew how serious that could be. I immediately began to pray, changed my diet to help my condition and went on a 40 day sustained fast. All during the fast I kept crying out to the Lord that I did not want to die and I wanted Him to heal me.

Job 5:26
One beautiful fall day my husband and I were out taking a drive, praying and asking God to give me a word, something to comfort me. As we were driving down an old country road all we could see were rows and rows of corn in the fields ready to be harvested. My husband came to a quick stop, got out of the car and ran to the cornfield. He pulled an ear of corn off one of the stalks--ran back to the car and handed it to me. Suddenly, the presence of God permeated the car like I had never experienced before. I knew right away that Jesus had heard my cries and he gave me this word. “Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season.” Job 5:26.

Saints of God there is nothing like a word from heaven and I knew that I knew I was overcoming and getting the victory--that was about 20 years ago. God is so good and I continue to thank Him daily for hearing and answering our prayers. To God Be The Glory!
