Dear Sister Hilda,
Just recently my son was driving his work vehicle around noon time on a
very busy road. Without warning a car in front of him stopped rather
abruptly. In a split second he pushed the brake pedal to stop from
running into the back of the car and to his surprise the pedal went all
the way to the floor. His brakes went out and he had no choice but to
swerve to the right to try and get safely off the road praying he
wouldn’t be hit by the oncoming traffic that was moving 55 mph or
possibly hit the pedestrians that were standing on the side of the road.
Within seconds he was able to safely get off the road and coast the
vehicle to an empty parking lot. He called me right away to tell me what
had happened--he was shaken up but was okay. We praise the Lord for
sending His ministering angels to guard and protect my
son that day. “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalms 91:11
Prayer to our heavenly Father is so important. That morning I lifted him up in prayer as I normally do (Psalm. 91) and I also have a sense of peace knowing that the National Divine Connection Ministry friends are also covering my family with prayer on a daily basis. Our friends, family members and needs are important to us so it is crucial for us to have faithful friends who will pray for us. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” Ephesians 6:18. Testifying of how the Lord has answered our prayers encourages all of us and increases our faith and the faith of others. That day could have been fatal for my son and possibly others but because of the Lord’s protection and united prayer he was able to walk away from that evil assignment without a scratch. “…the Lord is faithful; he will…guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NLT)
