A Christian widow with small children took in a family who were
having financial problems and needed temporary housing. The grocery bill for
that many people was expensive but God supplied her every need. “The crowds asked,
“What should we do?” “John replied, “If you have
two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are
hungry.” Luke 3:10.11
One day the family needed some encouragement and the Lord said
to do something special for them and bake them a cake. As she prepared to make
the cake she realized that she didn’t have any eggs. Within minutes there was a
knock at her door. God had sent someone to bless her with a large bag of
groceries and right on top were the eggs she needed.
God is so good, His timing
is perfect--when you put the needs of others first, you can be sure He will take
care of you and provide for your every need. “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What
shall we drink?...for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all
these things. But
seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-3. We are
always encouraged and thankful to the Lord for Hearing and Answering our Prayers--To God Be The Glory!
