Dear
Sister Hilda, We emailed your ministry and asked you to please keep our
son in your prayers. I would like to share this wonderful testimony of
God’s grace and mercy that was extended to our son. He has been
suffering with a very painful toothache for about 2 months. The
pain became so unbearable that he finally went to the hospital
emergency room hoping they could help him. They told him that the tooth
was broken off and pieces of the tooth would have to be dug out of his
gums. This procedure would have to be done by an oral surgeon. They gave
him antibiotics and sent him home.
He
doesn’t have dental insurance so this would be very expensive and he
didn’t have the finances to pay for something like that right away. He really couldn’t afford to take days off work either. We were given negative report after negative report. We
as a family continued to believe that God would take care of everything
and He would make a way when the situation seemed impossible.
Regardless of how things looked—No matter what the reports were the Lord
would have the final word. I knew in my heart that He would work
everything out for him. "I
love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer...Because he
bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!" Psalm
116:1–2. (NLT)
A
week later we took him to a regular dentist who said they would take a
look at his tooth and x-ray it but if it was as bad as they said it was
they would have to refer him to an oral surgeon in our area. Sister
Hilda the Lord is so good He heard and answered our prayers. According
to the first report we received from the doctors a week ago his tooth
was broken and they would have to surgically remove it and dig the
pieces of the tooth out of his gum which sounded awful. This would cost
$1200-$1400 without dental insurance (which we didn’t have). It turns
out that the tooth was turned sideways but not broken—no shattered
pieces in his gum--no oral surgeon needed and they were able to do the
extraction that morning at 10 a.m. for $220 right there in the dentist
office. By 5 p.m. that evening the light bleeding had stopped
and he was beginning to feel a lot better. The pain is gone and only
needed one day off work. Praise God He is ever so good and merciful! "The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease…” Lamentations 3:22-23. We thank the Lord for your
