Dear
Praying Friends, With the Thanksgiving season quickly approaching surely this
is a perfect time to share what our Lord has done for me. Being truly grateful
makes us look up to heaven and thank Almighty God who is the provider of all
things. I know down deep inside that we would be “nowhere” without Him. I am
reminded that in 2003 my husband and I were living out of a suitcase and
sleeping on the floor. Then after 2 years in 2005 we moved into a small travel
camper that our ministry was blessed with.
I
think about the pilgrim’s sacrifice in coming to America and “our sacrifice”
does not begin to compare. I also think about the “Sure Nail” Jesus, our Savior
and His agonizing sacrifice and again I’m reminded of Apostle Paul who stated
that he counted the loss of all things as dung to win Christ. “…and I count all things but loss for the
excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered
the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”
Philippians 3:6.
In
our 60’s we were cramped and uncomfortable. Living can be rough, but I rejoice
that our sacrifice was small and for a short time. Seven (7) years have
passed--it is November 2012 and we are now in our 70’s and our Jesus has blessed us with a beautiful home with ample
room. It seems to me that when there is a sacrifice it doesn't last forever
and always followed by reward. The pilgrims sacrificed and America grew
and became one of the richest countries in the world. Our Jesus went to
the dark sacrifice of Calvary and today He sits in all His Glory at
the right Hand of the Father. If you are sacrificing today for some good
cause remember there is always a reward on the other side! To God Be The
Glory!
