National
Divine Connection of Prayer began a new 24 day prayer assignment for
the streets of New Orleans on June 21, 2012. Praying people throughout the
United States bind together, praying daily for the “Weather Prayer Focus” of
the day. “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul
trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until
these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God
that performeth all things for me.” Psalms 57:1-2
On
Sunday, June 24, 2012 Tropical Storm Debby was expected to become a Hurricane and was
heading towards Louisiana. On Monday,
June 25, the focus for that day read “Spare the Gulf Coast and Louisiana, Oh God,
from Hurricanes and Destructive Weather.” Tropical Storm Debby was now stalled
and dumping unrelenting rain on the State of Florida. God loves
the people of Florida He had them
on His heart when He selected the 25th for this Special Prayer Focus. We continue to pray knowing that God Hears
and Answers.
Since
the National Divine Connection Ministry of Prayer
began in 1983, it has been faithfully praying for America, Israel, and the
needs of the Body of Christ. Daily, needs
are covered with prayer. Names of
pastors, churches, those in the military, etc. are on the Wailing
Wall of Prayer.
A world map covers the wall in one of the Prayer Booths. However, each week, one specific pastor,
church, U.S. City and country are selected and dispatched for special prayer
that week. “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…”
Ephesians 6:18
In the late 1900’s, Pakistan was the country receiving prayer
one particular week. At the end of that
week, the newspaper covered an interesting story about a major attack against
Pakistan which had been stopped. What a
privilege it is to pray. How exciting to
see lives being spared as a result of prayer. To God Be The Glory!
