God knows our every need and smallest desires even before we call, and will answer. As we look unto HIM, his ear is bowed down to hear those needs. A few weeks back I was working around the house washing curtains and when I went to take them down the curtain rod accidentally broke. I felt so bad because this was not the most opportune time for me to be purchasing curtain rods. Immediately, I prayed and asked the Lord to help me find something affordable. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." I John 5:14-15.
Well, I had an extra $20.00 that I could spend so I went to the local store looking for a curtain rod that would fit a large window and noticed that they were on sale and marked down considerably. As I continued to look a little closer I found out that the ones that were on sale were only for the smaller windows. I thought okay I’ll wait and maybe I will find them at another store and perhaps at a better price. I was getting ready to walk out to the car empty handed so I thought, when I seen the most beautiful rods and thought to myself Lord, I’d really like to have those but they were too much for my budget (Not God’s) at that time.
You know, the Lord never ceases to amaze me; He is so loving and merciful to us--the rods that I was looking at were originally $60.00 but because they were being discontinued they had been marked down to $9.97 each so I was able to buy 2 for $20.00 but would of cost a little over $120 at regular price. I was so grateful and my heart full of joy! Believe God for all your needs and desires, No matter how great or small, He will Hear and Answer!
Our dining room window is a great source of light and in the mornings and throughout the day the sun shines in beautifully. “Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun…” Ecclesiastes 11:7. The Lord is always speaking to us we just need to listen closely. He spoke to my heart that evening and reminded me as He often does that yes, we need the natural sunlight--but more importantly we need the SON, the LIGHT OF JESUS CHRIST in our hearts. DO YOU KNOW JESUS, have you had the chance to invite Him into your heart and make Him Lord over your life? If you haven’t He's just a simple prayer away. Nothing can compare or feel more glorious than when we receive the warmth of God’s Love and Forgiveness.
